Painted Shadows
The Tall Bearded Iris Painted Shadows features standards in sulphur yellow with a foxglove-colored midrib visible only on the inner side. Its style arms are a slightly deeper yellow, also with a foxglove midrib. The falls start as petunia purple and gradually fade to pearl grey, with a 1/4 inch edge that extends inward as pale veining. The beards display a gradient of colors: cadmium yellow near the throat, deep chrome yellow in the center, and brass yellow over lavender white at the tips.
