Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about growing and caring for your Iris garden.
When is the best time to plant my Iris rhizomes?
For optimal growth, plant your Iris rhizomes in late summer to early fall (July through September). This allows the root system to become established before the first hard frost.
How do you ship your live plants?
We ship our Iris rhizomes via USPS or FedEx during the peak planting season (July through October). Each rhizome is freshly dug, cleaned, and labeled to ensure it arrives at your door ready for planting.
What is your quality guarantee?
We take pride in our award-winning stock. We guarantee all rhizomes to be true to name and to arrive in healthy, viable condition. If you experience any issues within the first growing season, please contact us for a replacement or credit.
Do you offer international shipping?
Due to strict agricultural regulations and phytosanitary requirements, we currently only ship to addresses within the United States and select international territories. Please contact our support team for specific regional availability.
How should I prepare my soil before planting?
Iris thrive in well-draining soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. We recommend amending heavy clay soils with organic matter and ensuring the planting site receives at least six hours of direct sunlight daily.
Can I modify or cancel my pre-order?
Yes, you can modify or cancel your order anytime before our shipping season begins in July. Once an order has entered the harvesting and packing phase, we are unable to make further changes.
